Last night was pretty interesting. My university’s campus was probably the busiest it’s ever been. The presidential debate garnered many Republicans but also many protesters. What really struck me was the group of conservatives and Terry Jones followers and not because they were ridiculously insane (note-they were ridiculously insane) but because most of the people in the group consisted of women and some young children. I mean sure go ahead and brainwash or inflict your beliefs on grown women but don’t force your beliefs into a child’s brain without giving him or her any other choice. Indeed parents can raise their children, however, to limit their ability expand their knowledge of what is right and wrong isn’t an effective way to educate a person. That and teaching them that burning the Quran is acceptable just makes me think, what the hell is wrong with people?
